Are you possibly thinking of sesame balls: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jin_deui ? That’s the only dim sum rice cake/bean paste thing I can think of. Let me know!

Hi, i’ve been searching for this delicious bean cake-thing that I had years ago in Chinatown in Montreal, Canada. They look identical to the picture above (on the green plate), but were definitely filled with a bean paste. I asked the waitress what they were and she said “Bean Roll”. So are the gyung-dan or palitaw? They were definitely not tiny balls, like the pictures i see of Palitaw.
Can you help me find out which ones they are so i can find the recipe?
